About Me
I am Esther Chew, a designer, writer and singer.
I am currently a 3rd year student in Republic Polytechnic Singapore, pursuing in Diploma in New Media.
I am Optimistic, Independent and a Perfectionist.
I am looking for opportunities to display my flair for writing and develop my skills in writing, design, filming and video production. I am keen and willing to learn new things.
Apart from that, I am a lover of books, English films and Hong Kong dramas.
I enjoy Japanese buffet and country music too.
My work is mainly based on everything I see, feel and experience. Some of my subject matter revolves around the common issues of life and a comment on human nature.
I tend to incorporate vintage elements into my designs because I am drawn to the 80s era, and partly because I want the older generation to be able to relate to my work as well.
I was never a fan of writing until I became an avid reader during high school. The memory of having a burning desire to write a Christmas story is etched deep into my heart until today. I truly felt a sense of fulfillment in my soul after writing it.
Since then, I started carrying a journal around to jot down my ideas and thoughts about my environment. Sometimes, it is left there and other times, it develops into images or short stories.
